- The theater was packed today.
- The band opened with a little Carolina Liar's and they owned it.
- Wesley, Gunner, and Thomas England all came early and helped with set up before youth started.
- I confessed my man crush on Andy Stanley and how when I started ministry as a youth pastor I bought a bunch of polo shirts cause I wanted to be like him.
- I still have a man crush on him but its definitely respect not worship.
- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Traveling OC Kids is this week and we are in need of volunteers to help with each night. Please contact Shannon Miller if you are able to help at shannon@originschurch.tv or at 513-967-2190. Traveling OC Kids will be held on Tuesday 9/1 in Lebanon, Wednesday 9/2 in Fairfield Twp., Thursday 9/3 in West Chester. The event will run from 6pm-7:30pm each night.
- I am more and more impressed with Origins every week from the commitment levels or all our volunteers to the constant bringing of guests each and every week by our entire congregation.
- God is doing so much right now at Origins, I couldn't even begin to list it all.
- We are five weeks into OC Student Ministry. We have had an awesome group of students coming to Origins at 9:00 every Sunday.
- Someone came back to the OC today that hasn't been for several months. It was really cool to see him back and doing great.
- Tons of guests today with great things to say about Origins.
- Clay had a friend that came for the first time today too. His friend put the Origins bumper sticker on his vehicle as soon as he left. He must have liked it too!
- Our greeters, I mean Hosts, stuck around for a meeting after church. I am excited to see how our new system is going to turn out. Lots of really cool things happening on the horizon.
- The Best Question Ever concluded today. It turned out to be a really good Elective.
- The next two Electives are on the calendar, Life @ the OC and iMarriage.
- You can register for Life @ the OC (the Origins membership class) starting this Sunday by stopping at the NEXT table. There are only 14 more spots available, so hurry up and register.
- iMarriage will start in October. More details will be available soon.
- I had a friend check into a detox program this week...Origins and his community group has been the Catalyst for him to move towards health in his life...the Church being the Church!
- I have come to realize that people who have a priority for Jesus, the Bible, and the lost love Origins and people who don't see those things as primary aren't as drawn to it.
- I'm ok with that cause it keeps us all rowing in the same direction at every turn Jesus brings us to.
- My boys are praying for 3 of their friends to come to Origins with them, we have their names on the fridge.
- My buddy Chip told me today that his son came out of OC Kids and showed him an invite card and said Dad next week I need to bring someone with me....I love that and so did Chip!
- Gods been really speaking to me in my personal time with Him about His Sovereignty and my faith in Him and it's been so rewarding.
- I love Origins and I can't wait to see what this fall holds for us, all you OCers need to buckle in and hold on cause I think Jesus is gonna speed us up not slow us down!
- I took a little break unintentionally from writing these and from reading blogs, I've just had a busy couple of weeks.
- We had two people accept Jesus as their Savior today which makes 5 in the last 3 weeks, to say that I am ecstatic about that would be an understatement.
- The music today was incredible.
- We added a few visual ascetics to the experience and they were awesome thanks to Donnie and Joel.
- We had my man David in the service again today rapping and I think I messed him up a bit but he nailed it anyway.
- There were tons of guests and I even got to see some people who haven't been in a while.
- One of Stacy's best friends moved back into to town recently and came with her this morning and she was super excited.....it took Stacy a while to make good friends here in Cincy so her friendships are real important to her.
- Stacy and I got my buddy Brandon's Mustang Convertible and hung out all day and it was awesome.
- Todd and Renee drove from vacation on the beach, overcame a broken down vehicle, arrived in Cincy at 2:00 am and made to Origins in time to greet everyone attending Sunday morning. I love the dedication.
- This was the second week for Ben Frade teaching in the OC Students. I hear he's pretty good.
- The OC Students Student Leadership had Saturday breakfast at Chick-fil-A...planning for future events, awesome things ahead.
- Speaking of that, all students grades 8 through 12, we meet every Sunday at 9 am in the Party Room.
- We had three people accept Jesus as their Savior this week. Two on Sunday and one on Thursday night. God is so good!
- Two Electives coming up...Life @ the OC, the membership class, runs September 13, 20, and 27.
- iMarriage starts in October...more deatils to come. Stay connected by stopping at the NEXT table every Sunday for current events.
- Bobby Wilson is awesome cause he picked up the new stage piece with Joel and got it all ready for us to have more space on the stage.
- Luke has been a great addition to the band bringing some rhythm guitar to the music.
- Jason and Brandon had the lighting looking amazing.
- Did I mention that 2 people accepted Christ!
- I love Origins so very much!
